Q:        Is, Isra University recognized, and if so then by whom?

Ans:    Isra University has a Charter for Government of Sindh as a renounced university, authorized to award degrees at all levels. All degree programs offered by Isra University are recognized by HEC. HEC has placed the Isra University in “W” category which the highest level of rank.

Q:        What is the procedure to apply for admission?

Ans:    You have to purchase the admission kit from admission office or you can download the admission form from our website and post it with a bank draft of Rs 1,500/- from any bank in the name of Isra University.

Q:        Which programs are being offered in SEAS, Isra University, Islamabad Campus?

Ans:    Islamabad Campus offers:

  • BS(Electronics),
  • BS(Computer Science),
  • B-Tech(Electronics/Electrical/Civil Technology) (Pass/Hons),
  • MS (Computer Science),
  • MSc(Electronics/ Applied Physics),
  • MS(Electronic Engineering),
  • M.Phil (Applied Physics)
  • Phd(Electronic Engineering).

 

Q:        What is the duration of your programs? Ans:    The duration of different programs is:

  • BS(Electronics),                                                         (4 years)
  • BS(Computer Science),                                            (4 years)
  • B-Tech(Electronics/Electrical/Civil Technology) (Pass 2years/Hons 4years)
  • MS (Computer Science),                                          (1.5 years)
  • MSc(Electronics/Applied Physics),                         (2 years)
  • MS(Electronic Engineering),                                    (1.5 years)
  • Phd(Electronic Engineering).                                   (3 years)

 

Q:        Are all your programs registered/approved from HEC?

Ans:    All programs offered by Isra University, Islamabad Campus are registered/approved by HEC, further confirmation can also be obtained from HEC (www.isra.edu.pk)

Q:        What is the prospectus/application processing fee?

Ans:    Prospectus kit fee Rs. 1,500 along with Forms, Sample test papers and brochures.

Q:        I appeared in the final exam. Can I apply for admission as a result awaiting student?

Ans:    Yes, you can apply as a result awaiting student. In such an eventuality you will have to provide “Hope Certificate” in which you will guarantee that you will get the minimum marks required for admission to the program of your choice, failing which your admission will be cancelled.


 

BS (Electronics)

 

Q:        BS (Electronics) program is registered from PEC or not?

Ans:    BS in Electronics program is not a PEC program. It is the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics. It is recognized by HEC. The candidates having less than 60% marks are not eligible for PEC based degrees. Therefore, BS in Electronics is best choice for such students.

Q:        What is the fee structure of BS in Electronics program?

Ans:    Admission fee Rs.15,000 and Tuition fees Rs. 50,000

Q:        What are the Timings of BS in Electronics Program?

Ans:    The class schedule is: 08:30AM to 04:30

Q:        Can I pay semester fees/Tuition fee in installment?

Ans:    You can pay your tuition fee in maximum of Two installments.

Q:        Which scholarships are available in Islamabad Campus?

Ans:    Scholarships are available .There are different types of scholarships in our Campus.

  • Merit Based
  • Need Based

Q:        What are the criteria to award scholarships?

Ans:    The scholarships are awarded to meritorious as well as need based students on the recommendation of admission committee. 10% budget of the program is reserved for scholarships.

Q:        What are Eligibility criteria of BS in Electronics Program?

Ans:    Student should have minimum 45% in F.Sc (Pre-Engineering), DAE (Electronics), A-Level or equivalent in relevant discipline.

Q:        How many labs are available for the students of BS in Electronics?

Ans:    Three Labs with spacious, well equipped having proper sitting arrangements are available in the campus.



 

B-TECH(Electronics/Electrical/Civil Technology)

 

Q:        What is the duration of B-Tech program?

Ans:    B-Tech programs have following durations:

  • B-Tech  Pass (Two year program)
  • B-Tech Hons (Four year Program)

Q:        What are Eligibility criteria to apply in the B - Tech pass?

Ans:    Student should have minimum 45% in your F.Sc (Pre-Engineering), DAE (Electronics), A-Level or equivalent in relevant discipline.

Q:        What is the Prospectus/Application processing fee?

Ans:    The prospectus/application processing fee for BTech program is Rs: 1000/-.

Q:        What is the fee structure of B-Tech?

Ans:    Admission fee Rs. 10,000 and Tuition fees Rs.30,000


 

MSc (Electronics/ Applied Physics)

Q:        What is the duration of M.Sc (Electronics) program?

Ans:    The duration of M.Sc program is 2  years and include 4 semesters

Q:        What is Eligibility Criteria to apply in M.Sc(Electronics)?

Ans:    Student should have minimum 45% in BSc 14 years with Maths A and Physics, B-Tech (Pass) in Electronics/ Electrical/Telecom/Computer.

Q:        What is the fee structure of M.Sc(Electronics) program?

Ans:    Admission fee Rs. 12,000 and Tuition fees Rs. 37,000

Q:        What is the Prospectus/Application processing fee?

Ans:    The prospectus/application processing fee for M.Sc(Electronics) program is Rs: 1000/-.



 

MS (Electronic Engineering)

 

Q:        What is Eligibility Criteria to apply in MS. Electronic Engineering)?

Ans:    Student should have a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics, Telecom, Computer, Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics), M.Sc (Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, Maths or equivalent in relevant discipline with 16 years education in relevant field.

Q:        What CGPA is required to apply in MS. Electronic Engineering)?

Ans:    Student should have above 2.00/4.00 CGPA or above 60% marks (Non-CGPA Systems.

Q:        What is the fee structure of MS. Electronic Engineering)?

Ans:    Admission fee Rs. 17,000 and Tuition fees Rs. 14,000 per course

Q:        Which Specializations are offered in MS (EE) Programs?

Ans:    Specialization offered in following areas.

  • Telecommunication
  • Signal and Image Processing
  • Control System

Q:        What are prerequisite courses for candidates with non-engineering background?

Ans:    The candidates may have to take 2-4 courses from the following courses to make up their technical deficiency:

  • Probability and Random Variables
  • Digital Signal Processing
  • Digital Communication
  • Control Systems
  • Electromagnetic Theory

Q:        Can I start my MS course work without studying pre-requisite/deficiency courses?

Ans:    Candidates cannot continue their MS course work without covering their technical deficiency.

Q:        I have studied the course of Probability and Statistics, will it cover my technical deficiency of Probability and Random Variables?

Ans:    No, these are two different courses. Therefore, you have to study the course of Probability and Random Variables to cover your deficiency.

Q:        What is the fee structure for MS pre-requisite courses?

Ans:    The rates of prerequisite courses are subsidized. Hence, the deficiency courses will be charged at Rs: 10000/- per course.

Q:        What is degree requirement for MS (Electronic Engineering)?

Ans:    MS (Electronic Engineering) degree is 30 Credit Hours: Course work 24 Credit Hours MS Thesis 6 Credit Hours The student may take course work of two courses instead of MS Thesis.

Q.        Is it necessary that GAT test should be qualified with a minimum of 50% cumulative score before admission into the MS (Electronic Engineering) program?

Ans:    Yes, GAT test conducted by the National Testing Service is required to be qualified with a minimum 50% score at the time of admission to MS.


 

PhD(Electronic Engineering)

Q:        What is Eligibility Criteria to apply in Ph.D(Electronic Engineering)?

Ans:    18 years of education: Master of Engineering (ME) /Master of Science (MS) in (Electronic, Electrical, Industrial Electronics, Telecommunication, System Engineering, Mechatronics), M.Phil Electronics in relevant discipline, MS Computer Science with specialization in Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, networks) with min CGPA of 3.00/4.00.

Q:        What CGPA is required to take admission in Ph.D program?

Ans:    Student should have 3.00 or above CGPA (or above 70% marks for non-CGPA degrees) in  MS Degree.

Q:        What is the fee structure of Ph.D program?

Ans:    Admission fee Rs. 17,000 and Tuition fees Rs. 14,000/course

Q:        Should I have to appear for GRE/NTS Subject Test to get admission in Ph.D?

Ans:    Yes, all candidates have to appear for GRE/NTS Test, as per HEC guidelines.
